Are you a visual storyteller with an eye for capturing unforgettable moments? Want to capture the energy and atmosphere of student experiences at of one of the UK’s biggest Students’ Unions? Join us as a Photographer & Videographer at the University of Manchester Students’ Union!
As a Photographer & Videographer, you’ll capture and create high-quality visual content that showcases student experiences across the University of Manchester Students’ Union. From vibrant events and campaigns to everyday moments in our venues, your work will help tell authentic, engaging stories that reflect the diversity and energy of our community.
You’ll produce photo and video content for key moments across the year, including Welcome/Freshers, elections, campaigns, and activity within our student bar, coffee shop, and events programme.
Your creativity and eye for detail will help ensure UMSU’s visual content remains fresh, inclusive, and impactful, supporting a strong and engaging presence across our channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photography and videography across UMSU events, venues, campaigns, and student activities.
- Plan and deliver visual content for key moments in the calendar, including Welcome/Freshers, elections, campaigns, and commercial activity.
- Edit and produce engaging photo and video content suitable for use across social media, web, and marketing materials.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to bring creative briefs to life and support campaign delivery.
- Help build and maintain a well-organised, diverse, and high-quality visual asset library.
- Collaborate with students, societies, and staff to capture authentic and inclusive representations of the student community.

Wage: £13.45 per hour + holiday pay
Contract: Zero Hours, Fixed-Term until July 2027
Hours: approximately 5 hours per week
Eligibility: Open to applicants with relevant skills and experience who are eligible to work in the UK / and a current student at either UoM, MMU or UoS graduating in 2027 or later.
