What to Expect at JobClub

Attending something for the first time can feel a little daunting, but at JobShop we want to make your experience as smooth and comfortable as possible.
JobClub runs as a drop-in session and is designed to support students with personalised guidance on CVs, applications, interviews, and part-time jobs. Currently, our sessions are held every Thursday term-time between10am-12pm at The Nest, Ground Floor SU.
What you need to know before dropping in:
When you arrive at JobClub, you’ll be greeted and asked to sign in. This helps us keep track of attendance and ensures we continue to offer this service. Once signed in, you’ll meet one of our advisors and get started. Each session is designed to give personalised, one-to-one advice, meaning it works best if you bring along:
- Your CV, even if it’s just a draft.
- Any questions about jobs, applications, or interviews
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your existing CV, we’re here to help.

We can advise on formatting, refining content, or creating a CV from scratch even if you don’t have any experience. Whatever stage you’re at, we’ll help make it stronger and more effective.

Learn how to answer application questions, structure your responses, and highlight your skills clearly.
